Makers were asked to create folded textile panel flags (10" x 21"/folded in half with a 1/2" pocket at the top) - using any of the following techniques: weaving, sewn/pieced, embroidered, applique, screen print/block print fabric, resist dyed fabric, or any combination of these techniques.
In designing their flag(s), makers were encouraged to reflect on what they love most about our earth’s environment - flora, fauna, the forests, our oceans, the air, our skies, our water - use words or poetry, be illustrative or totally abstract in their creations.
